In a world filled with stress and pressure to perform, anxiety about cultural expectations, and depression from being isolated to a screen, the culture in America is killing our teenagers from the inside out. We aim to provide hope and inspiration by taking the Hope of Christ to Every Student. We want to provide teens a place to belong, opportunities to make a positive difference, and bring life-changing transformation to their life and those around them. Our core focus is to help 300,000 students in 4,650 different schools experience the hope of Christ by December 31, 2023. This podcast is part of our strategy to get the word out to the believers of Jesus in the United States to help encourage, equip, and empower Christian students to share their hope in Christ with their peers. Steve Cherrico and Brad Schelling host this week’s podcast with First Priority Coordinator of FP of the Lakeshore, Sandy Mast. Sandy explains the growth in her area and how students' siblings were wanting First Priority in their schools. They are currently in nine schools and hope to expand to 20 clubs in ten schools. Sandy discusses the lessons she has learned since working for FP.

Sandy has been a long-time active youth minister in the tri-cities community and has been involved with First Priority over the years. She holds a degree in early childhood education and worked for Head Start as a teacher and volunteer coordinator for 10 years before being called into High School ministry. She has been on staff at Covenant Life Church in Grand Haven since 1995, with a five-year break from that position to work with Young Life. Heather Bundy lives in Roanoke, TX. Heather was raised in a multi-denominational household. She knew she believed in God throughout school, and in college she truly fell in love with the Lord. Heather was originally a head administrator of a school, but her passions are working with churches and kids so they know the Lord. She is excited to build relationships and see the clubs grow.

Jenna Doll lives in Kansas City, MO. Jenna has been actively sharing the gospel since she was 12 years old. Because of her story and sharing her faith at a young age, she is passionate about helping students do the same. Jenna has been working in ministry since March 2022 and is excited to be a part of the First Priority Kansas City team.

First Priority of the Ozarks is the newest launched district of First Priority. In this week's episode First Priority of the Ozarks District Director, Jeff Stanford, introduces himself and shares his story and journey with First Priority.
Jeff Stanford is a 25 year youth ministry veteran. After serving FPSFL for 10 years as director of Palm Beach and Treasure Coast he and his family moved to Springfield, MO. The last 3 years he has worked as sales and service agent for the Local Geico Office there, all the while building a foundation that is now First Priority of the Ozarks. In this week’s podcast, hear from Tampa Bay’s president, Amber Johansen. Amber is passionate and driven for the ministry of First Priority, and we get the opportunity to hear some incredible stories and encouragement from her.
Amber was born and raised in Tampa. After graduating from Leto High School, she attended Florida State University for an undergraduate degree and then the University of South Florida for a graduate degree in Government and International Studies. Her background includes working with at-risk teens and families, non-profit work, and program development.
She has been involved with First Priority of Tampa Bay since 2009, when she began serving as a Parent Partner in her son’s First Priority group. In 2013, she was appointed Executive Director and then President in 2023.

On this week’s podcast, Shane and Natalie Kenney share their heart with First Priority and how God is moving in west Texas. Shane and Natalie talked about how they started in Texas and the ways that God has answered prayers and worked in First Priority Permian Basin during their 10 years there. Tune in to hear some amazing stories!
Shane Kenney has been working with students since 1998. He has served as a youth pastor in Florida for many years, as well as coaching at the local school. It was during that time that he got a burden for campus ministry. In February of 2011 he joined First Priority in West Florida. In July of 2013, he moved his family to West Texas to become the Executive Director in the Permian Basin. Natalie has served alongside her husband Shane in youth ministry for the past 20+ years. She has a burden to reach lost people with the Gospel and uses that passion to train students to be missionaries on their campus. Shane and Natalie live in Odessa, TX with their oldest daughter Tori. Their youngest daughter Tristan, currently lives in Anchorage, AK.

Tim Bargo is in his 15th year as executive director for First Priority Tri-County, KY. He spends most of his day working with schools, churches, finding priority partners, and promoting First Priority locally. He has been in youth ministry for 25 years and as a youth pastor/campus coach for 11 years. He also served 1 year as club director for FP Tri-States. Tim resides in Corbin Kentucky with his wife Tammy. They have three adult children Brittany, Justin, and Dylan. Tim and Tammy are actively involved at Immanuel Church in Corbin.
